button 1 - weaker attack(often melee)/pick up/interact
button 2 - strong attack(usually shooting, kick if there's no gun)/pick up/interact
button 3 - guard
1 & 3 with basic gun - roll
2 & 3 with basic gun - reverse kick
1 & 2 & 3 - super attack(drains health)
Dreamcast:
X - guard
Y - weaker attack/pickup/interact
B - stronger attack/pick up/interact
X & Y with basic gun - roll
X & B with basic gun - reverse kick
X & Y & B - super(drains health)
So, it's partially a 3rd person shooter as well. You spend time collecting discs and interacting with PC's, as well as opening doors, but mostly killing zombies. It's related to the House of the Dead series. It's a little easier to choose your characters in the Dreamcast version, you need to hold the direction for a while with the arcade version.
