X - switch to special weapon(an icon, dropped by enemies, needs to be picked uo first. Blue doesn't have one)
Down - crouch
Down, Y - crouch attack

hold Y until green line reaches the far right, and release - special
B - jump
B, Y - jump attack

Enemies drop hearts to restore health. The 3 characters are Red, Blue and Silver. Red's special weapon is a gun, Blue has the best jump attack(which considering the poor range of his and Red's regular attack, becomes a must), and Silver kicks, which gives him decent attack range, while his special weapon is a laser sword. Boss battles occur inside of a mech, which the characters and their vehicles form. You basically need to pull off the special attack before the boss gets you. Getting past the first sub-boss can be tricky, as it uses ranged attacks.
